Do you charge sales tax?
We are legally obligated to collect sales tax for shipments to California.

How do you ship your products?
Smaller items are typically shipped via UPS. Larger items must be shipped via truck. However, we are happy to make any arrangements that are required.

Canadian Orders
HVACQuick is pleased to accept orders from Canada. Please add items to your basket and do a regular checkout. Payment may be made by credit card. Shipping costs will not be shown during checkout since we do not maintain a database of Canadian shipping rates. We will advise and bill you the ACTUAL cost of the shipment once it is available from UPS/FedEX. Please note that additional charges such as duties and Canadian taxes may apply (typically collected by UPS/FedEX).

International Orders
We accept international (outside USA and Canada) orders on most products. Please add items to your basket. When ready to purchase, please contact us via e-mail or phone to confirm sales taxes, shipping and other costs. Orders must either be pre-paid or purchased with a US bank credit card. We ship to US based freight forwarders ONLY for international orders. Freight forwarders must be arranged by the customer.

How are shipping charges calculated?
Shipping is calculated by our database, and can be viewed by pressing the "SHIPPING CALCULATOR" button in the basket (view basket screen). You have multiple options for shipping: Shipping via ground, 3rd day select, and shipping via 2nd day air.

Whenever UPS size and weight restrictions allow, we will ship UPS. In all other cases the order will be shipped via truck. If you have any questions or concerns, select the shipping type that you require during checkout and give us a call. We are flexible and will accommodate almost any shipping request. In addition, use the final comments box on the second page of the checkout process to provide us with additional instructions. If your basket contains a combination of items by different manufacturers and you select an expedited shipping method, such as 2nd Day Air, we will ship UPS only where possible (remaining items will be shipped via ground truck transport).

Canadian orders can be shipped in the same manner as US domestic orders, however we do not maintain a database of international shipping costs. Purchase your basket and give us a call to arrange shipping. Please note that additional charges such as duties and Canadian taxes may apply. Shipping for International orders must be prearranged with us.


What is the basket and how does it work?
A basket is a storage medium for items that you are interested in purchasing. You may add as many items to your basket as you wish, but we suggest a practical limit of 10. The basket resides on HVACQuick.com servers and is therefore independent of the computer that you are using (not a "cookie"). You can access the baskets at any time from home or work. You do NOT have to be logged in to price items on our site or place them in the basket. You are also NOT limited to 1 basket. If you are quoting multiple jobs, then we suggest creating a separate basket for each job. Feel free to assign the job name to the basket.

Baskets expire in 15 days (from the creation date). The creation and expire dates can be seen at the top of the basket information. If you have a special situation that requires you to retain the basket beyond the 15 day period, please e-mail us and we will extend the basket for an additional 30 days. In order to retrieve a basket in the future, you require a basket name (that you assign) and the basket ID (system assigned). If you forget these 2 identifying items, then create a new basket. We suggest printing out the name and ID following new basket creation for future reference. Once you retrieve a basket, our servers monitor the your level of activity. If you do not perform any site functions (such as getting prices, updates etc.) for over 20 minutes you are logged out from the basket to free up resources for other users.

Most items that you place in the basket have 2 buttons on the far right-hand side. When you press the "MODIFY" button, you will be taken to the product configuration page and the item will be removed from the basket. When you are finished reconfiguring the item you must add it again to the basket. When you press the "PAGE" button, you will be taken to the product configuration page, but the item will NOT be removed from the basket. Quick ship items and custom items (placed in the basket by HVACQuick.com personnel) will not have "MODIFY" or "PAGE" buttons.

You can make changes to the "QUANTITY" and "TAG" for each item in the basket page. Be sure to click on the "UPDATE" button after making any changes. To delete an item from the basket enter 0 in the "QUANTITY" box and press the "UPDATE" button.


How do I purchase products?

Once you pick the products that you want to purchase, the next step is to place them in your basket. Create a new basket by giving it a name and the system will assign a basket ID (see above question). Once the basket is complete you can view it, modify the items, and check the shipping that will be charged at checkout. When ready, press the "CHECKOUT" button in the basket to proceed to the customer sign-in area. If you are a new customer you will be asked to register your billing and shipping information. After sign-up or sign-in you will be taken to the secure area of the site where credit card information will be collected and you will choose the shipping method. Once you complete your purchase an e-mail will be send to confirm to you that we received your order.

What if I cannot find a product on the site?
We sell a large assortment of items that are not available through the web site. Give us a call to inquire, or click on the Request a Quote button on the products page to send us your request.

Do I have to purchase through the Internet?
If you are not comfortable purchasing products through the Internet please call us at 877-711-4822 (408-437-1557). You can also fax (408-437-1558) your order in. We are happy to hear from our customers and will take your order over the telephone!

Do I have to use my credit card on the Internet?
The Internet is a relatively new avenue for purchasing products. We understand that. If you are not comfortable entering your credit card through the web site, use the "call me for credit card information" option during the checkout. In essence, you will complete your purchase through the website and when the order is processed we will give you a call to collect your credit card information.

Can I send you project details for a custom quote?
Certainly. We quote projects for both contractors and owners on a regular basis. Please call or e-mail us to arrange.

What are your warranties?
Every item we carry is covered by a warranty from the individual manufacturers and varies according to their policies. Generally, warranties cover defects from normal use. Damage from abuse, neglect, and accidents are not covered under warranty. It is at the sole discretion of the manufacturer to repair or replace defective merchandise. Labor and shipping are not covered under any warranty. All items are shipped FOB the factory or storage warehouse. For more specific information, please read the manuals included in the product packaging.

How does your system provide security?
Your information is secure. Our website secures all sensitive information by using 128-bit SSL (secure socket layers) encryption. You need a browser that supports SSL (Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer; Version 3.0 or higher). If your browser does not support SSL, you will want to upgrade to a version that does before purchasing.

A digital certificate is an electronic method that proves you are dealing with HVACQuick.com. When you begin our checkout process, you will probably notice that the padlock icon then appears. (Where it appears is dependent on which browser and version you are using). This icon lets you know that you have entered a secure section of the website. Credit card numbers are not stored on our system after the order is processed to eliminate any possibility of fraud.


How do I know that my browser is in secure mode?
The secure mode identifier depends on the browser that you are using. The following are some of the criteria:
1. The URL identifying the page will always begin with "https:" versus the normal "http:".
2. A "closed lock" icon is present in the bottom right-hand corner of your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.
3. An "unbroken key" icon appears in the lower left-hand corner of the Netscape Navigator browser.


How can I receive literature on the products HVACQuick.com sells?
All literature is available for downloading in Adobe Acrobat™ format from the "CATALOGS" link at the top of the page. We save on printing, mailing, and labor costs which is passed on to you. In addition, you are sure to receive the most up to date information.


How do I return products?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase on all non-custom products. Items must be in their original packaging, never installed, and in re-sellable condition. Restocking charges apply for all products (20% to 25% depending on the product). Credit is applied once the returned item is received and inspected. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges on non-defective product returns. Custom and made to order products are not returnable.
