whole house fan tech tips

Try to install your whole house fan in a central location so you can pull air into your house from all sides and exhaust in a central area.

As quiet as the Airscape is, we do not recommend installing it in a bedroom, since the perception of noise is greater when your house is quiet.

Be careful when installing in hallways, as "acoustic reflections" can be caused from hard surfaces such as plaster.

Always try to install your whole house fan in the ceiling so that the hottest air can be removed.

Allow 1 sq. ft. of venting for every 450 cfm. Double that if the venting is obstructed by insect-screening, louvers, etc. For example, a 1700 cfm fan would require approximately 4 sq. ft. of unobstructed roof venting.
