Paint-Grade-Premier-Series: Add the finishing touch to your home by replacing stamped-metal grilles with beautiful, high-quality wood return air grilles. Made with the highest quality tongue-and-groove technique, each piece is nailed and glued to endure the strongest, most long-lasting construction. These grilles come with an easy-to-install metal sleeve that holds a standard 1" A/C filter and ensures a flush wall mount without tools.
- PGF2030 shown in picture
- Primed and ready-to-paint the color of your wall or trim color
- See sizing info below to avoid re-stocking charges on returns
- Filter is not included
- 5-year warranty
All sizes are listed width x height (W x H) to ensure louvers/blades run parallel to the floor. The metal sleeve requires a 3" depth. The listed size is the required opening size. Covers are ordered based on the size of the opening you are covering. The overall dimensions will be larger due to the 2" decorative outer casing/flange. REMOVE the old vent cover and measure the inside opening. For example, the PGF2520 (a 25" W x 20" H list size vent cover) requires a minimum opening of 25" W x 20" H.

#1 | Q: Will the louver withstand exterior installation? A: Not recommended for exterior use. You want an openable louver (preferably drainable) that has a sturdy latch mechanism for high winds. Asked on 2020-10-10 by Mike |

#3 | Q: could you tell me the percent of actual air flow through the wood grille? In other words, what is the Net Free Ventilating Area (NFA) for a 12x12 wood grille? A: That grille has 88.5 inches NFA Asked on 2020-01-27 by Tim |
#4 | Q: How do you change the filter on a regular basis...pull the wood grille entirely out or does it swing open? A: These come out by pulling on the grille. Comes out pretty easy, thats why they are not suitable for ceilings. Asked on 2020-01-21 by Allison |

Here are the full dimensions: https://www.hvacquick.com/catalog_files/Worth_Grille_Size_Info.pdf Asked on 2020-01-05 by Chris |
#6 | Q: Can this be used as an air return on the a/c door in order to replace a metal air grille A: The metal mounting frame requires 3 inches of depth so probably not a good fit for a door. Asked on 2019-08-09 by M |
#7 | Q: I need 2 units, 14 wide x 24 tall1 unit 24 wide x 24 tall. A: Only the sizes listed are available in this series. Asked on 2019-07-20 by LW |
#8 | Q: What do you do when there is a stud in the middle of the return opening? A: Filter grilles require the frame and filter to be recessed/inserted into the opening. If you have a stud preventing the frame insert you will not be able to use a filter grille like this. Asked on 2019-04-01 by Gene |
#9 | Q: Can the slats face up as well as down? I dont want to be able to see my filter through the slats. A: Yes, these can be installed upside down if required. Asked on 2019-01-19 by ELF |
#10 | Q: Would it be possible to nail the grill directly into the wall rather than using the frame (Im covering up a hole in the wall. A: Not recommended. The grille is designed to insert into the metal frame. I would be concerned about the flanges/joints coming apart if screwing/nailing through the flanges. Asked on 2018-06-17 by Jenny |
#11 | Q: can we order a custom size of 25x30 in paint grade? A: Unfortunately no. The custom sizes are available in the AFG series only -- which can be stained or painted. Asked on 2018-06-01 by Bud |
