| #4 | Q: What is the thickness dimension? Will it warp, expand, or contract when exposed to very hot air flow? My application is for to mount this grille directly onto the face of a natural stone masonry fireplace so the surface is irregular. The airflow that comes off of the fireplace is very warm at about 85 degrees...not exposed to the direct heat of the fire. A: Thickness depends on the size. Either 0.63 or 0.75 inches (see Specs tab). Its fine for normal HVAC temperatures (85 F is fine). If you expose it to fireplace radiant heat it will get damaged. Asked on 2017-12-20 by Jim |
