| #1 | Q: Can this control a room transfer fan where in the summer it will turn the fan on when the temperature inside the room is higher than the set point and turn on the fan in the winter when the temperature in the room is lower than the set point? A: This thermostat can do heating or cooling action which is determined by how it is wired. It cannot automatically switch between the two actions (heating/cooling actions). | #2 | Q: I need a thermostat in my attic to control two attic fans and the original thermostats were removed so We could just turn on with a 110ac switch when in the attic rummaging through boxes. Will this unit work and mount to the wall or does it need a box mounted above the switch controlling the two fans. 110volt units. A: You need a thermostat with a higher temperature range. See the Fantech FAT 10 attic thermostat. These line voltage stats are typically mounted onto a metal box. https://www.hvacquick.com/products/residential/Thermostats-and-Fan-Controls/Exhaust-Fan-Controls/Fantech-Speed-and-Fan-Controls Asked on 2023-01-18 by David |
| #3 | Q: I need to control a 120v bathroom fan and have it go on when the room reaches 80F. Can I mount this unit onto the existing in-wall electrical box? A: Yes you may...this unit is designed for a task like this. No extra relays needed so doubly good! Asked on 2020-04-05 by Michael |
| #4 | Q: Is there a switch on this unit to manually change from heat to cool? A: No. You wire it as either a cooling or heating thermostat (different contacts for intended operation). Asked on 2018-03-17 by Jim |
| #5 | Q: Does this thermostat have an off position? A: No, to shut it off without moving the setting, an on/off switch would need to be installed adjacent. Asked on 2014-08-10 by Vance |
