| #1 | Q: HiI want to order S16-EVD fan, which variable speed controller should I use? A: RPE 10 if 115 VAC or RPE 210 if 230 V. https://hvacquick.com/products/residential/AirFlow-Boosting/Exhaust-Fan-Controls/Fantech-Speed-and-Fan-Controls Asked on 2020-09-27 by Stanislaw |

| #2 | Q: Can you turn these fans to blow in? A: These are 1 directional air flow. You can install it to blow in but you would have to protect it from rain etc. Asked on 2019-09-05 by Lee |
| #3 | Q: Would this fan work for a spray booth? If so do you have a recommended cfm per sq ft? A: For a spray booth you need an explosion proof fan. As for sizing, its impossible to tell without knowing the fumes we are dealing with and the required max concentration levels you are trying to maintain. https://www.hvacquick.com/products/commercial/Commercial-Fans/Explosion-Proof-Fans/Canarm-Leader-Fan-Series-SD-EXPLOSION-PROOF-Fans Asked on 2019-01-06 by Ryan |
| #4 | Q: Hello I have the S12-EVD fan, which variable speed controller should I use? A: Assuming you are running it on 115V you should use a 10 amp speed controller such as the RPE 10. If 230V then the RPE 210: https://hvacquick.com/products/residential/AirFlow-Boosting/Exhaust-Fan-Controls/Fantech-Speed-and-Fan-Controls Asked on 2018-08-03 by Mike |
| #5 | Q: For the variable speed models, such as SD24-GVD, does it come with a variable speed controller, or is it necessary to purchase a separate controller? Should I use the MSC-4 or MTC-4C with this fan? A: Speed controllers are sold separately. If you want to adjust the speed manually then use the MSC-4. If you do not need a rugged enclosure for the speed controller you can also use the cheaper RPE 10 or RPE 210 (depending on voltage used) speed controls: http://www.hvacquick.com/products/residential/Thermostats-and-Fan-Controls/Exhaust-Fan-Controls/Fantech-Speed-and-Fan-Controls Asked on 2018-05-22 by PK |
| #6 | Q: what is the depth of the housing when the louvers are open? How thick a wall can this fit into? I have a grill on the outside of the wall already dont want the louvers to hit the back of the grill. A: Depends on the model/size you are looking at. Please have a look at the dimensions in the catalog sheet: http://hvacquick.com/catalog_files/Leader_SD_Wall_Catalog.pdf For the blade size divide the E dim by the number of louvers (N value) Asked on 2017-01-23 by Dan Gallo |
| #7 | Q: What size duct fits these fans? A: These are typically not duct mounted but through a wall with no ducting. For opening size for each model see the framing dimensions on the Specs page or in the catalog. Asked on 2015-05-26 by Joel |
